I’m Ali, boss lady of Fields and Skies Photography.

I have always been better at communicating through images rather than words, but I'm going to give you an insight into how I fit into the world of weddings.

I have photographed weddings for over 12 years and it feels pretty darn special that couples trust me to document such a significant day in their lives.  

It's a big ol' chunk of time and as you can imagine, I know a thing or two, there are so many details and things to consider when it comes to a wedding. I am all in from the very beginning and will help in any way I can. 

I have many hats - I'm a veil catcher, time keeper, bouquet holder, buttonhole wizard and a ceremony ninja. Most importantly, I am genuinely good at bringing out the best in couples, making them feel comfortable to be themselves in front of a camera.

I have a documentary approach to the day and pay attention to real moments, with posing kept to a minimum. Deep connections are overflowing and my images ooze these vibes from the day. 

My couples tend to be laid back, go with the flow kind of people. They have ecclectic taste and love a good laugh. I'm very lucky as they're always genuine, top notch humans.

On a personal note, I am a mother of two spunky girls, Harper (7) and Frankie (4). They are my everything and I work my ass off to provide for them. I am very close with my family, my folks moved my bro and I to Perth from NZ when were young, so without extended family around, we grew up relying on each other and fortunately we are pretty tight.

My friends are straight up legends! They are kind, talented, stylish, generous, artsy and we have seen some bloody good music over the years, all while drinking plenty of gin.

My playlist features the likes of Karnivool, Press Club, Bon Iver, Gang of Youths, Kings of Leon, Against Me, Chvrches, Queen B and a solid mix of kids tunes.  

I cry at the drop of a hat, I feel deeply, I banter, I can be cheeky, I am kind and genuine.
